The Black Cat 30 Head offers 2 channels of bright, direct, and punchy tone. The Black Cat’s tone varies depending on which of the two channels you’re using thanks to the different preamp valves in each. Channel one uses a 12AX7 preamp which provides a warmer and smoother tone with more midrange emphasis to help cut through the mix. Channel two uses an EF86 preamp which gives the Black Cat a more aggressive character which is great for when your sound needs more punch and grit.
